Victorian Revival 14k gold seed pearls and turquoise crescent moon Brooch
The second Victorian Revival "crescent moon and star" brooch out of a pair of similar pieces I acquired some time ago, this is adorned with seed pearls and beautiful turquoise cabochons, set in a 14k gold frame. Symbolizing the power of the female as well as change and new beginnings in life the crescent moon was often complemented by the star motif in jewelry to denote spiritual guidance and the sense of direction. Safely nestled in their golden settings, the gleaming little pearls and vibrant turquoise cabs bring color and softness to the beautifully aged precious frame...
