David Andersen Norway silver and enamel pansy Brooches
The weather turned today after a miserable mini-ice bomb storm and it felt like Spring might finally be somewhere in the air so I thought the brilliant, lustrous colors of David Andersen's enamels are appropriate. I have had these sterling vermeil pansy brooches for quite some time and decided to offer them as a set. They are "candy" to the eye and a promise that warmer, sunnier times are just around the corner...
Size / Weight: approx. 1" square each; 15.6 grams (for the set)
Hallmarks / Date: all but the one are marked with Andersen's initials as well as "NORWAY" and "STERLING 925S"; 1960s-70s
Condition: excellent vintage - I would say "mint" but I refrain from the word when it comes to vintage jewelry - with gorgeous, glistening enamel in a myriad of colors, sweet as can be, with no damage and no repairs noted
Inv# 14799/800/801
