pre-1945 Georg Jensen Denmark silver Bracelet, des. no 3
I acquired this Georg Jensen silver repousse bracelet years ago but waited for a long time to present it on the site - I was tempted to keep it and would have done so but for its length. This is Jensen’s des. no 3 and when it came to me it was accompanied by its matching necklace (sold here earlier this month). A closer study of the hallmarks, however, indicates that the bracelet is earlier than its companion, pre-1945, in fact, if I am not mistaken. So here it is, in all its silky glory: silver perfection with the character only a long, well-lived life can bestow; yet another example of Jensen’s genius…
Size / Weight: 7 5/8” long (wearable) by 11/16” wide; 30.1 grams
Hallmarks / Date: fully signed as shown with a combination of hallmarks that dates it in the pre-1945 period (please, see jensensilver.com for an example)
Condition: excellent vintage with the quality and craftsmanship Jensen jewelry is know and sought after for, the silkiest patina ever, with no unsightly damage and no repairs noted but for two very small, very light and literally imperceptible impressions on the raised “semi-spheres” in two of the links (one in each)
