Mexican silver and tiger's eye "cha-cha" Charm Ring
Fun, musical, combining sterling silver with the luxurious tones of molten gold, caramel and deep chocolate brown this vintage Mexican charm ring boasts six dangling miniature charms, each housing a tiger's eye cabochon. The band, textured with silver-work and Etruscan Revival-type florets, is generously wide and visually interesting. I love rings - I never go out without wearing one, preferably big and bold - and these Mexican "charm" versions bring to mind the brio and vivaciousness of Carmen Miranda's exuberant performances...
Size / Weight: currently sz 8.5 US (relatively adjustable by your jeweler); band is 9/16" wide; face is 1" N-S (including the drop of the dangles) by approx. 7/8" E-W; 13.5 grams
Hallmarks / Date: "STERLING 925", "TAXCO" and maker's signature that I can't make out as well as a badly stamped Eagle assay mark; 1950s-60s
Condition: excellent vintage with beautiful stones, securely set in their bezels, gorgeous colors, nice patina and no damage or repairs noted
