Margot de Taxco Mexican silver Earrings

$0.00
SOLD

I have offered pieces out of Margot de Taxco’s des. no 5346 line many times over my years as a Mexican jewelry dealer but the delicately worked foliate bow with its meticulous micro-beading has never stopped speaking to my most romantic inner self. There is something very gentle in this design - even ethereal, I would say, and it’s its discrete beauty that renders it a classic…

Size / Weight: 1” tall by just shy of 3/4” wide; 7.0 grams (for the set)

Hallmarks / Date: fully marked with Margot’s signature as shown as well as “STERLING MADE IN MEXICO”, Eagle 16 assay mark and des. no 5346; 1950s-60s

Condition: excellent vintage with crisp, rich detail and the perfect finishing Margot jewelry is known and collected for, with no damage and no repairs - I have to note a slight difference in the depth of the patina between the two earrings; it is not as discernible to the naked eye as in the photos and does not attract the eye when you have the set on
