Marcel Boucher Parisina Mexican silver Cuban link Bracelet

$0.00
SOLD

For a few years around WWII and possibly up to 1950, Marcel Boucher had a special line of silver jewelry made in Mexico under the name "Parisina". I don't think we know which workshop produced those pieces or whether they were made by a number of different silversmiths. I can, however, say that Parisina jewelry ranges from the very light-weight to the chunkier, more substantial examples and that the same variety is also reflected in their designs. The Cuban link bracelet presented here is definitely of the second kind - having good weight yet perfectly articulated so as to feel like silk around the wrist; with eye-catching proportions and patina that enhances its presence it is the ideal 1940s show-stopper to add the desired touch of glamor to the evening...

Size / Weight: 7" long (wearable) by 1 3/16" wide; 71.1 grams

Hallmarks / Date: "PARISINA" as shown; not hallmarked for metal quality yet tested and guaranteed to be sterling silver; ca 1945

Condition: excellent vintage with strong visual presence, great patina, a design that never falls out of fashion and no damage or repairs noted
