Los Castillo Mexican silver and copper chevron Ring
Matching the brooch of the same design that it also available here (you can see the two pieces together in one of the photos here) this Los Castillo Mexican silver and copper ring is a rather rare find and I am happy to have come upon it. Weaving together the two metals in a chevron / arrow pattern, it is additionally embellished with tiny little sterling beads and has a visually interesting shank as well. And even though it seems to have left the workshop without having been stamped with the proper hallmarks, the brooch I acquired it with is fully marked (I have added a photo of those marks for your information) so I am 100% confident of my attribution...
Size / Weight: currently a comfortable sz 6 US (easily resizable by your jeweler); face is 1" N-S by 1/2" E- W; 4.7 grams
Hallmarks / Date: not marked yet please, see description above and look at the hallmarks of the brooch it came with in the photo provided; pre-1948
Condition: excellent vintage with strong geometry, great patina and no damage or repairs noted
