Italian 800 silver sodalite Renaissance Revival Pendant ~ Peruzzi style
I love all stones blue but the deep, saturated blues of sodalite and lapis lazuli I cannot resist. And when they are set in old, Italian silver, surrounded by Renaissance Revival frames I have to have them. I have cherished the pendant at hand for a while and now I am releasing it for a new adventure. Combine it as shown here with your favorite silver or Peruzzi style chain (I have a couple on offer on the site, one with sodalite beads too) and let the compliments overwhelm you…
PS: The chain in the photos is a prop only and not included in your purchase -
Thank you!
Size / Weight: 2” long (without the bail) by 1 3/8” wide; with the bail, it will add a 2 1/4” drop to your chain; 14.1 grams
Hallmarks / Date: “800”; 1930s-40s
Condition: excellent vintage with deep, dark color in the stone and interesting lighter “clouding”, good csting in the silver frame and warm patina, with no damage and no repairs noted; there is a natural tight fissure in the stone but it is stable and adds character more than attracts from the pendant’s beauty
