Hammerman Bros Art Nouveau 14k gold enamel and pearl mistletoe Pendant
The second out of a pair of late 1940s Hammerman Bros gold, enamel and pearl pins I acquired some time ago, this delicate mistletoe beauty has been converted to an elegant, romantic pendant so you can enjoy it alone with your favorite chain (the chain here is a prop and not included in your purchase) or add it to your charm necklace. Exceptional quality and a high level of craftsmanship characterizes this piece as well - just take a look at the carefully applied enamel and the fragile green veining that can be seen in the mistletoe petals. Love the soft gleam of the miniature pearl, the golden tendril curled around the flower's stem - I am just waiting to catch a glimpse of the sylvan fairy hiding behind the old trees...
Size / Weight: 7/8" tall by 7/16" wide; .9 grams
Hallmarks / Date: signed with maker’s conjoined initials “HB” as well as “14K”; late 1940s
Condition: very good vintage, a delicate miniature treasure, with its enamel showing minimal wear in a couple of tiny spots at the edge of the petals and right next to the pearl (not readily visible to the naked eye but you can enlarge the photos to get an idea) and its pearl in great shape, securely positioned in its place; no damage and no repairs noted other than the conversion mentioned in the description above
