Enrique Ledesma silver and stone modernist Bracelet
A classic combination for Enrique Ledesma, the marrying of sterling and stone, makes this vintage Mexican bracelet an easily recognizable creation by the renowned Taxco modernist. The stone is here azur-malachite, I believe, with greens and browns predominant and the warmth of the silver casings adds a certain "inner glow" to it. The bracelet offers a glimpse of its life story in an inscription on the back of one link - romantic and rare yet if you would rather have it removed, it can be easily done by your jeweler...
Size / Weight: 6 7/8" long (wearable) by 3/4" wide; 46.3 grams
Hallmarks / Date: fully signed with maker's name as shown as well as "STERLING TAXCO" and des. no 204; 1950s-60s
Condition: very good vintage with beautiful stones, warmly glowing patina and no damage noted - there is a small, old repair in the connection between the link bearing the hallmarks and the one next to it; it is not visible when the bracelet is worn and has been done well so it does not affect its integrity but I have taken it into consideration in my pricing
