English Art Nouveau silver and enamel Bar Pin ~ magnolia flowers
Sweet, romantic, a little treasure to adorn your button-down shirt or even a light scarf, this period Art Nouveau sterling silver and enamel bar pin was crafted in London, England in the opening years of the previous century. Silky, off-white magnolia flowers with just a touch of orange/yellow where the petals meet the stem and shimmering green leaves against a pearlescent background take center stage here. In almost perfect condition and such a treat on a rainy day like today…
Size / Weight: 2” long by 1/4” wide; 4.0 grams
Hallmarks / Date: “GENUINE CLOISONNE”, “STERLING” and hallmarks for London; date mark for 1907
Condition: excellent vintage with beautiful pearlescent white and shimmering green enamels that are in almost perfect shape (there is a tiny little space in one of the small cloisons close to one long edge that is empty but I think that happened during the pin’s crafting and it’s not later incurred damage) - a veritable gem of the period not to be missed!
