Eagle 1 Mexican silver "bird talons" Bangle Bracelet
A design that can also be found in this same form bearing the signature of renowned Taxco modernist Antonio Pineda, this sterling silver "eagle talons" bangle is perfect to be stacked with similar pieces or even worn and enjoyed alone. It is stamped with Eagle 1 assay mark which was also used by Antonio but bears a different maker's initials. I will conclude by saying that I like the idea of a bird of prey's power wrapped around the wrist - a talismanic bracelet to enhance one's self-confidence and fearlessness...
Size / Weight: 7 3/4" inner circumference ( 2 1/2" inner diameter) by 1/4" wide; 25.5 grams
Hallmarks / Date: maker's initials albeit badly stamped as shown as well as "MEXICO 925" and Eagle 1 assay mark; 1950s-60s
Condition: excellent vintage with beautiful patina that enhances the sculptural elements in the design, with no damage and repairs noted
