Deco Revival silver vermeil and citrine glass hinged Bracelet

SOLD

Having the most luminous burnished gold finish I have ever seen on vermeil sterling jewelry, this wide hinged bangle with its chunk of faceted citrine glass registered as a Deco beauty as soon as I lay my eyes upon it. Both the style, the cut of the glass gem and its old-fashioned pin closure seemed to affirm my initial assessment. Yet when I examined it for hallmarks, I realized it was marked with maker's initials and "925". I am not used to seeing a numeric hallmark for sterling purity on jewelry from the Deco years - the Mexican pieces are the big exception to that rule. So vintage Deco Revival it is then for the bracelet - and what an amazing Revival that is...

Size / Weight: 7" inner circumference (clasped) by 1" wide; 53.7 grams

Hallmarks / Date: signed with maker's initials "FS" or "JS" and "925"; 1960s (?)

Condition: excellent vintage with a silky, softly glowing vermeil finish, a beautifully cut, chunky citrine glass gem, perfect proportions and no damage or unsightly repairs noted - a veritable classy bracelet!
